Close to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path (Lonely Planet: "one of the best long distance trails in the world, passing 58 beaches and 14 harbours”), the Lodge is a perfect location/base for family groups, walkers, cyclists or those just seeking time out.

Close proximity to the Lodge:

  • Town centre

    • Restaurants - home cooked, locally sourced seasonal food 

    • Shops, Supermarket, Post Office & local amenities 

    • Pubs - too many to mention here, but wide choice to suit all tastes!

  • Lower Town - 400m (down hill) - beautiful harbour with friendly Cafe, Pub and Yacht Club (Visitors welcome)

  • Coastal Path - runs 300km along a spectacular rugged coastline â€‹

  • Fishing trips arranged (max 4 people)

​

  • Beaches

    • Newport Sands (drive your car on beach) - 12km (east)

    • Whitesands - 25km (west) – a haven for surfers & no dogs allowed in summer

  • TRANSPORT

  • FERRY and Trains - Station is FISHGUARD & GOODWICK (25 mins walk)

​

  • Buses - regular service to Fishguard (The Square) from HAVERFORDWEST and ABERYSTWYTH (T5 Service) - plenty of other local services from Fishguard Square

​

  • CAR PARK - 30m from Lodge (£10.00 per week)

    • There is no parking immediately outside or to the side of the Lodge​​​​​

  • Preseli Hills - hill forts, standing stones and burial chambers

 

  • Offshore - Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm - puffins, guillemots, razorbills and grey seals – trips arranged from St Davids or Dale

 

  • Pony trekking (rides on beaches), surfing/windsurfing, rock climbing & diving also nearby
